Description of capacitive sensors and switches

Capacitive proximity sensors - DC Characteristics

The capacitive proximity sensors and switches are used as electronic equipment for automation of production processes. Brief information is given underneath about their functions, characteristics, installation rules and electrical circuits of connection.

Capacitive proximity sensors and switches

The capacitive proximity sensors and switches are used to switch electrical circuits. Their action is determined on a capacitive basis. When the dielectric constant in front of their active part changes, their output switches - the electrical circuit opens or closes. They react to metallic and non-metallic objects. Used as level regulators for bulk materials. They are widely used in automation of production processes in the food, paper, textile and other industries.
