The ODP3-64.71.F2U1 infrared photoelectric diffuse sensor for alternating current consists of a transmitter and a receiver located in a parallelepipedal plastic housing 64x30x15mm. The optical sensor has a normally open output. The maximum distance of operation of the diffuse sensor is 200mm. The optoelectronic sensor ends with a 2-wire PVC connecting cable with a length of 2m and has an LED indicator showing the output state of the optical sensor. The sensor's output has no protection of short circuit. AC sensor designated with the symbol (U2) have an operating voltage 40-100VAC, with symbol (U3) it is 20-50VAC (by request).
Application and operating principle
The presented ODP3-64 diffuse photoelectric sensor is used for switching two-wire alternating current circuits. The principle of action consists in emitting and receiving a modulated light ray in the infrared area of the spectrum. When an object passes in front of the sensor active surface its output switches from one state to another. The output indicator is on, when there is an object in front of the sensor. The nominal switching distance of the optical sensor is measured by the help of white cardboard with size 100x100 mm.

Short description
The ODP3-64 square optoelectronic diffuse sensor is used in industrial systems, as electronic automation equipment for switching at 2-wire electrical circuits of alternating current. When an object passes in front of the active part of the optical sensor, its output switches. The diffuse photoelectric sensor there is a longer period of work due to contactless switching of the electrical circuits in which is included.
