M12 through-beam photoelectric sensor OBP1-12.10.FK
Sn=5m, PNP/NO+NC, 9-36VDC, 250mA, M12x56mm
The OBP1-12.10.FK infrared photoelectric through-beam sensor for direct current consists of a receiver and transmitter which are located in two cylindrical plastic housings M12x56mm. The receiver is with output type PNP, with one normally open and one normally closed contact. The maximum distance of operation of the photoelectric sensor is 5m. The transmitter ends with a 2-wire PVC connecting cable with a length of 2m. The receiver ends with a 4-wire PVC connecting cable with a length of 2m and has an LED indicator showing the output state. The optical sensor is protected from improper inclusion of the cables, overcurrent and short-circuit at the outputs.
Application and operating principle
The presented M12 photoelectric through-beam switch is a system of two housings - transmitter and receiver, located opposite each other. They are interconnected by a modulated infrared light beam. When an object passes between the emitter and the receiver, the light beam is interrupted and the output of the receiver is switched from one state to another. The receiver output indicator lights up when the receiver output is active.

Short description
The M12 optoelectronic barrier sensor is used in industrial systems, as electronic automation equipment for switching at 3-wire and 4-wire electrical circuits of direct current. When passing a nontransparent object between the receiver and the transmitter, the optical connection breaks and the receiver's output switches. The barrier photoelectric sensor there is a longer period of work due to contactless switching of the electrical circuits in which is included.
